Tackling Bias to improve decision making

Saturday 19 May 2018

McKinsey's interview with Richard Thaler on 'debiasing the corporation' is a really good one. I've spent the best part of two decades trying to help organisations unpack their biases through the use of foresight. I recommend this article to you

The models I helped design for TASPI, the Organisational Evolution Model (Org-Ev) is arguably now world's best practise with regard to Strategic PLanning models. It has (through a few iterations) evolved to pick up and address functional gaps in how organisations go about their planning. But it is NOT fool-proof. In the end, our selection of Strategic Issues (step two) and how we decide to take action (step four) comes down to how well we understand the evolving future and our current operational skill sets.

So this article from McKinsey interviewing Nobel Laureate Richard Thaler on overcoming Bias is a really good one and highly recommended - Overcoming Bias
